Re: Hello from the Christchurch 'burbs

Welcome. I know the feeling about wanting to add colour to the flock and the impending full back yard. We had five chooks, all different breeds, then realised they were all shades of grey. So added a couple more. And now we want to add even more (got blue laced red wyandotte, black frizzle orpington...

My Chookettes

As promised elsewhere here's pics of my chooks. For bonus points you get to match the name of the chook to the image of the chook using my signature. All the chooks except Aio and Leia's head(!) It's mandatory to chop at least one head off photos of humans, so why not chooks... http://chez.geek.nz/i...

Re: Hello from the Waitakeres

Perhaps you could post a picture of the Araucana, specifically a nice clear front on and side on head shot, and we might be able to help with sexing. Ah, an impossible task before breakfast, I like. Mis(s)tery is about 14 weeks. Only just started colouring up around the face. http://chez.geek.nz/im...

Hello from the Waitakeres

Hello I've been lurking here for some time now. We've got 7 chooks ranging in age from about 12 weeks through 26 weeks. Can't believe we didn't get them sooner as they're SO much fun to watch doing their thing, plus them charging up to greet you (who am I kidding, they're after the food...) One shou...
