Re: new member from Southland
I have seen them Marina, I was lucky enough to be allowed to keep my birds there for the last twelve months that I was in Southland, and I am really grateful to have been allowed to do so. I am more than happy to say that there is a nice line of genuine north Holland blue down there . And a good num...

Re: Feed for 12 week old pullets in Wellington
I would say probably to early, better than no feed at all. Chick starter Crum or chick grower is probably what they should really be on. Have you tried the farmlands or pgg stores. If they don't have it, ask them to get it in for you and put your name on it.

2018 -2019 breeding season drawing to a close. How was yours
A slow breeding season for me, but I have finished with my best pullet numbers yet, thanks to a low cockeral count. I am all so quite pleased with the quality of the bird's iam seeing to date. So let us know how your breeding season has worked out or gone.

Re: What's killing them??
Sounds like you are doing pretty much everything you can do for them, there is a wasting away sickness but sorry I can't remember the name of it. I have lost one bird I believe to this sickness, but by the time I picked up on it I was to late

Re: Ducklings with lice
Hello, and welcome to the forum. I have read somewhere and I believe it was on poultry central. That you can use the same stuff you put on your dog or cat, I have never done this, as I don't have a dog or cat and I also don't have ducks at the moment. I know it has been done successfully . As to how...

Re: Problems with chicks in outdoor pen
I would leave them in the coop, for a couple of days. Then let them out an hour or two before dark. All things being equal, hopefully they should head back inside before it gets dark. As older hens do. I don't know how old your chicks are, but do they need to be on a perch at this stage.

Re: Westons have a Game Bird Crumble!!
That pretty good buying. I can't even find westons down here in timaru, really wish that I could get it. Have looked on the westons site but nothing comes up, when looking for supplier's in your area.
