Juvenile cock pheasant

Hi. Picked up the above, I suspect hit by car. Unable to stand on either leg but I can stretch the legs and the pheasant then retracts them. Could it be a broken back? Bird is otherwise quite bright eyed and eating and poo'ing well. Can anybody offer any advice please?

How nice of you to help this poor bird. It’s a bit difficult
to give any advice without seeing the pheasant. I would just
give him a couple of days or a week or two to recover. He might
just be terribly bruised and sore. It’s a good thing he’s eating and
drinking ok. Keep us posted on how he gets on.
