DOGS CAN"T FLY

Postby Firestar » Thu Oct 01, 2015 10:03 am

So we are coming back from our walk with Bentley our golden Labrador and get in through the gate, and let leash go to shut gate.
We have chooks in the back separated by temporary gate due to our old one being gate napped. Bentley has a thing about Orpington chancing so they are separated chooks in back dog in front. He sees Odett and runs straight at the gate, smash the gate its blown apart Odett Squarks and makes a run for it, Bentley hot on her tail.

We had our garage replaced not long ago and had to raise it due to flooding so big drop down one side. Odett takes no notice she takes off into the air and lands down side of garage running off down back of property. Does Bentley stop or slow NO WAY He JUMPS into the air taking a flying leap only to go SPLAT DARN IT the chook does a swerve back and jumps back over him and toddles off on her way.

Proving the fact that no matter how they might try DOGS CAN"T FLY.

Unfortunately not a humor filled ending as vet was called in the next day and a week later he is taken in to have an xray and he's cause a break to his leg a real nasty one and he has to go to specialist vet to have a repair done 4 thousand and something dollars later, we are recovering, but I doubt he will learn so New gates are now being put in place.
