I have no idea what they are but they are extra cute.

Their beaks look like kiwi beaks?? their plumage could be emu??

So - come on, tell us :D

3 little 2 day old Plovers Marina. They were brought to me at 6.30 pm and have had done some good feeding and are nestled up nice and snug. One more feed in an hour and I can go to sleep happy. I DO hope they make it. Spur Winged Plovers they are... I raised one last summer and he was such a neat bird to raise. So very affectionate and it was just fantastic taking him flying and having him come back to me..... but a few nights of interrupted sleep now :) :)

I would never have guessed they are plovers. They are very interesting birds, Russell - they still have that climbing claw the archaeopteryx has. There are none where we are so no issues with noise...

I'd rather have their chattering than boom boom of base music and cars Raven :) :) I never object to bird 'noise' but I do dislike a lot of human noise :D

Marina - I've made up a mixture of Kaytees baby bird formula, along with chick starter, insectivore, bit of cooked egg yolk, tiny bit of mince at this stage....mashed it all up... and eventually will add worms, and beattles to their diet. Their poos look good and I am hopeful.

I kinda like the plovers here, they give the magpies a run for their money, but they do make a racket ;)
