Sexing RIR x Brown Shaver & Alternative to chick crumble

Postby happyfarm » Wed Feb 25, 2015 7:05 pm

Hi, I've just hatched my first egg in an incubator and was wondering when and how RIR x Brown Shaver chicks can be sexed.

Also wondered if there was an alternative to chick crumble in case I ever ran out as I'm a little far from town and only go in once a week. TIA

Congratulations! Have you got just 1 chick?

It takes 5 to 6 weeks before an educated guess can be made regarding the gender of the chick.
