Parsley, aka 'The Blimp' is holding out for as long as she can....

the ram is getting nosy, I made the mistake of bringing out the wrong food the other day, he nearly tripped me up (although the Blimp took my legs out from under me as she brushed past)

and he needs to finish moulting!

I'm getting a little stressed out with waiting.... I've never had to intervene with a sheep, they just appear
she looks uncomfortable when I peer over the fence, but she gets up to see if I have a treat for her, feel mean not giving her anything, but I don't want her too fat!
She had twins last year, I'm picking it'll be 3 this year....

Oh boy that's a lot of lamb on board!
One of almost everything, a veritable rainbow of chickens. And Project Motzle.

she lies down flat in the paddock, but gets up whenever I walk over to her, so she seems okay
maybe I should just leave her be?

had the vet out - we were suspecting bearing (popping the innards out), but the little bubbly lump is just something on the outer edge, everything else seems okay - she's full of milk & somewhat annoyed about that check

now the neighbours are setting off some REALLY noisey fireworks

Went and checked her at 10.30pm last night, to watch the third lamb being born

now bearing in mind, I'm after some black ewe lambs
and my friend brought over her two woolly white sheep, who lambed over a month ago (two sets of black ewe lambs)

I got triplet boys!
the last boy was dead this morning, he was definitely alive last night - shame, must have been too cold maybe - she hasn't moved off the spot of lambing and its a bit squelchy there, so not the nicest spot to spend the night
I toyed with getting some hay for them to sit on, but last time I tried that the ewe moved away, eyeing it suspiciously

I'll get some photos this afternoon - one white boy, one black - quite big
I have another young ewe, she had a single white girl

oh well, Murphy must be laughing his head off....
