!!!!!!Congratulations Kracka!!!!!!

Postby Andrea2 » Fri Sep 25, 2015 9:03 pm

You may remember a while ago I was in desperate need of pekin hatching eggs. Thank You Kracka - the little Mille Fleur and two Buff X went to Clevedon School Ag Day today. All behaved very well and one came home with Champion Junior Chicken. (The one on the left is champion). :D

You must breed them with lovely temperaments.

Pekin bantams are ideal childrens pets
they're naturally quiet
sometimes the roosters are little toads (aggressive) but I don't usually keep them, got better things to do than protect my hands from stroppy boys
but the girls are always nice

cool, glad you did well! :D

I can only take credit for the hatching - my kids don't even go to Clevedon School. I hatched these as a favour for a friend. Her girls wanted to do chickens but don't like the big shavers that everyone else has. The are too heavy for the perching class for the little kids. I don't think I will be getting these two back! I'm lucky here are my roos are all very placid. (Touch wood) - I have got 3 running together and no fighting so that is great. They know who the boss is! Soon as there is trouble, they go ;) . Thanks again.
