my chickens react really badly to any of the cats strolling through - you can generally track where Snow is by the cackles of outrage around the lawn
they don't take much notice of the Cavaliers...

Great photo - I almost want to the cat to start having a dust bath :)

I was quite interested the other day to hear one of my chooks give a warning/alert call when a neighbours cat walked up the driveway, when they're happy for our cat to wander round near them and don't blink an eyelid at her. I was impressed that they are clever enough to recognise 'unknown cat' from 'known and safe cat' (although I shouldn't be since they are known for other intelligent feats!).
Pea (?), Martha (L Sussex), Bess (Australorp), Elsa (Orp), Petal (B'velder), Dottie (Sp Sussex), Olive (Welsummer), Peggy (W Leghorn), Gertie (SLW), Maureen & Doreen (NHB), Hazel & Tilly (SPW), Lilly & Ivy (Orps) and Silver Appleyard ducks!

Thankfully my incubators aren't big enough for a cat to fit inside! I did find one yesterday sleeping on my laptop's power supply. The spot in front of the fire became even more popular when the cats discovered that the same spot was also the optimum location to get the heatpump's warm air.

The cat lying on top of the brooder - can open sealed plastic food saver containers. No way would I trust her unsupervised around that brooder. She'd figure out how to remove the lid in no time and go "fishing".

Cat's What a laugh you never know were you will find them next. However I agree with not leaving puss unsupervised.
Only time I trust my cat was when my pullets were grown up enough to take on next doors cat as he tried to stalk her she ran at him chasing him up the fence nipping his tail as he crawled up fence an sat on-top panting and looking quiet scared. :D
