Ist egg from this seasons pullet

Yesterday I received my first egg from one of this season's pullets with one other close to laying. How are all your pullets going from this season.

Cool :)

I had a first egg today from a 23w white orpington -- I was very surprised that she started laying so early, I thought orpingtons started quite a bit later. But I've been watching her face turn red over the last couple of weeks and today she was snuggled down in a corner of the coop, and later there was an egg there that didn't look like anyone else's :)

That's incredible. How old are they?

The increasing day length does encourage them to mature fast but a first egg before Christmas is quite something.

Hatched 2nd august, so 20 weeks old. I have two pullets bright red big combs , this morning I found a bantam in their pen so egg could be from her. If it's not a pullet they are only a week or so away.
